Research Position in the Department of Chemistry


College Scholarships Application Applicants must hold a PhD in computational quantum chemistry or solid-state physics, preferably involving periodic band structure calculations.
-A strong ability to work independently is greatly appreciated, as well as the ability to see the work of computing in a broader context, relating to the experimental results.


-Experience in installing and tuning software for efficiency in high performance computing resources will be an advantage.
-A good knowledge of English is required.

Scholarship Description: This College Scholarships Application position is funded by the Norwegian council KOSK II program of research on Quantum project studies modeling the local coordination of T-atoms in the material Zeotype. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com
http://thescholarshipprogramme.com The main objective of this project is to elucidate the mechanism (s) for the diffusion of cations framework zeotype materials.The The College Scholarships Application successful candidate will conduct modeling studies on the relative stability of different silicon distribution and mechanisms for the diffusion of silicon in SAPO materials and diffusion of aluminum in zeolites using method based on quantum mechanics. College Scholarships Application Periodic DFT calculations will be the main instrument, however, ab initio DFT calculations and groups may also be useful.
